At Matters of Design Inc. you can expect custom, unique floor plans and home designs. Contemporary, traditional, prairie, Tudor, Victorian – any style, can be done! With years of experience in the construction industry, combined together with years of experience in interior design, our designs have quickly become recognized in Lethbridge and surrounding communities.

The process begins by spending time with you to capture your wish list including all rooms and their location, features and any other specifications. Home design isn’t simply putting rooms into a box. All the factors that dictate a floor plan layout such as surrounding views, sun direction, traffic flow, privacy and appearance will be considered. Overall style of your home, exterior features, and finishes will also be discussed. And, those special features and details that will make your home unique will be included.

After this, “Preliminary Drawings” will be produced, which include the floor plans layouts with the front elevation design, and any other additional elevations. Together we will “walk through” your home, and then you will have opportunity to take the plans home for review. We will then meet to make any changes or revisions to your home.

Once all changes are made, blue prints, or working construction drawings will be completed. These drawings will include all the details and specifications required for permits, and construction of your home.
